Day 5
A very good day of Spanish. I'm becoming more confident and with 17 schydays left, I'm beginning to think I might be getting somewhere.
My single classmate, Jutta from Germany, is also new to Spanish but she teaches English and is a Brainiac. But while she has grammar down, I know more words 😃 so we're paired off well. Also pur teacher Maria is very good.
Each week we will be assessed to see if we move up a level as well, new students arrive each week so things will likely change. I hope I still have Maria as la maestra because she makes the classes a lot of fun.

... " is rooted in the carnivalesque theatre which emprises both religious and civic rituals. In the mid-18th century, Afro-uruguayan enslaved people had one day off to celebrate their own culture and traditions to the rhythm of the drums of Candombe music. In fact, the term "Las Llamadas" (The Calls), which is a traditional carnival dance parade in Montevideo, comes from the call made by the Afro-uruguayan slaves when they wanted to get together in the streets by playing the drums." - Wikipedia
Muchos fotos por venir!
Visited 3 museums today because it was pissing down rain. They were a pre-Columbian exhibit which had a section dedicated to North American tribes which was super cool. Another was the National Museum which gave me a great deal more understanding of Uruguayan politics, The last was I can't remember because I was fatigued, my feet het, and I was hungry 🤣
Some photos from today:
Hasta mañana chicos! Dulces sueños! 😴
