Day 4
Difficult day at school. I was explaining to the administrators Sole and Paula, both exceptional humans, the concept of a bottom feeder. I said I felt like a Spanish language bottom feeder because I'm always the last to understand the lesson.
They both laughed in my face and Sole got post-it note and stuck it on my arm:
So yeah, haha, I get it. Quit yer crying. You've been through worse than this 🙄
So after class Silvie and I ate at Green to Go then took an Uber to the Botanical Gardens in north Montevideo which also is home to a small art museum showing the most famous Uruguayan artists from the last two centuries.
I especially liked the realist paintings of Juan Manuel Blanes. The detail in these massive canvases is amazing and the effort to produce is so impressive. Good stuff.
We split then with Silvie going to the playa and me to Starbucks. I went there to do my homework because it's climate controlled unlike the flat I'm in.
We just got back from dinner and I'm wrecked. Probably walked another 5km today. Some photos:
Buenas noches chicos!
