Day 10

10 days but it feels like 100 🫤 I think mainly because the work is hard, it's really hot (36⁰C today), really humid (80%), mosquitoes are eating me alive, and other non-critical but no less annoying housekeeping issues. This is not my preferred climate 🥵 nor housing situation, but here I am 🙂

So I didn't go to breakfast this morning at Federatión due to sleeping a bit too long, so instead had toast here at the home-stay. My host has an odd schedule. She works until 5am because her clients are all in New Zealand. As a result we don't see each other that much. Still she's neen very helpful and a good host. Most often she speaks Spanish to me until I stop responding because she knows I'm lost and need English 😂

Today was a weird day. I woke up cranky but pulled it together to take my dirty clothes down to the laundry mat and got them washed, dried, and folded for about $5 😀 Here there are no coin or token operated laundries. The stores (there are many) have a few wash and dry tumblers and I went to one across the street from the school which is super convenient.

School kind of sucked because there's a lot I just don't get. It must have been showing because Sole, the director pulled me aside and pointed to my tattoo saying, "Nunca te rindas". So yeah ...

After school I stayed and did my homework and met a guy from Scotland named Euan and he's really nice and knows only a little more than me. He's taking the "Super Intensive" course which adds an hour of one-on-one conversation with a teacher. I might look into that.

No photos from today chicos, so buenas noches ❤️
